The Gathering was in a different place than normal, slightly outside of the land formally known as Golden Grass, right on the border of Sharkclan and the volcano. It was a location had had been picked only after much deliberation and tension. But out of necessity... As people would come to find that in the wake of the tsunami many faces had changed in leadership.
Hibiscussting was amongst the first to arrive- simply because she had arrived hours early out of nervousness and waited for everyone to come. The patch of land was slowly starting to fill. What would the other clans think when they found out that Mossystone did not receive his nine lives from Mysticclan? Little did she know that Sharkclan was in the same boat.

Mossystone was having some trouble catching up with his friend/deputy. " H-hey, Hibiscussting!" He called," Maybe wait for the rest of the clan, will ya?" He chuckled as he finally caught up with the anxious she-cat.
His cheery exterior masked the faint scent of anxiety and fear coming off of him. The Golden Grass area was too close to the volcano fro his liking, and he was also worried about his first cross-clan meeting with the other clans. --- Foamblossom herself was a bit worried too. This was the day she'd ask for her thoughts to become reality, and Hibi leaving early was a shock--but not very unusual--she was independent, afterall. But that would come later, for now, it was time to relax and socialize with the other clans. Foam made her way over to a group of cats.

Spiderfur was worried when Rushingclan had to leave without their deputy, but was relieved to see her when they arrived at the temporary gathering place. He let out a sigh, easing his nerves as he weaved between their clanmates, searching for perhaps Railfang, hoping her clan had recovered from the devastation the clans had gone through.
-----
Oddly enough Citrine had decided to join the clan, curious to see their customs but also needing to get away from how suffocated she felt back at camp. Her kits were at least behaved enough to stay put with Wyvern while she watched the clans gather. Unfortunately though one of her kits had decided to be cheeky and followed her. Luckily for her she was able to spot him quickly and would of sent him straight home if only they had not been so vocal on coming. Eventually she keeled to the kits demand and carried them with her to the gathering. Keeping her kit close to her, she sat at the outer rim of the hustled cats, not wanting to interfere.

Huffing as he blew hot air out of his maw, his teeth grinded together nervously. The large anxious tom tried his best to hide these feelings, luckily he managed so far. Luckily to his large fur, it wasn't easily seen that his semi-trembling legs would hardly stay still and calm. The pseudo piebald colored brutal male tightened his muscles and huffed as he sat down at a far distance from everyone else, his hairy hunch of his back appeared as he tool a lazy pose while his aquatic blue eyes were staring at the nontingness thinking of what just happened. "Now what?" The tom thought. He wasn't quite sure what just happened or what to tell or how to tell the clan this happened. It would be a huge disadvantage if the rest of the clans knew but he couldn't hide it either, the traditions would make it too obvious that an incident like that would happen. A leader with just one life would be far more greater responsibility than before. He didn't have a problem before since not so many relied up on him but now a whole clan is. He had to do something, to think something. He had to see what the other leaders would say. He could pretend he'd want to bring a new change to the clan-- no, no that would be destructive. Yet again, if he did something wrong and Mysticclan didn't say a thing then would he be the only leader this way? What if the rest of the leaders would be using this small information against him? What if the clan would be worried? Yet again he did nothing wrong thus maybe he was nnot the only one? Regardless, the tom inhaled quickly before blowing it out of his darkened nostrils with his nose twitching rapidly at the process.
((Now idk how good that was or not ;w; Sorry I was taking care of waifu so ignore the errors but tell me if I missunderstood the rp flow ;3;)

Upon learning the location to the Gathering Crescentstrike had taken care to scope it out a few days before hand, wanting to make utterly sure it was safe. Scorchclan only had so many members left- she had to make sure those that remained were safe. Even if she wasn’t deputy any more… It truly was for the best. She had been thinking of asking Cobaltstar to make Goldenash the deputy for quite awhile now.
The only thing that had kept her from doing so was her pride. Which anyone who had seen her prepare the way for herself a few days ago might have questioned she even had. She had spent hours creating a small rock bridge at one of the shallower points of the River, all so she could get here without touching the water.
Interestingly enough… Citrine was not the only one who had brought a kit along. Crescentstrike had brought both hers along, hanging around near the fringes of the Gathering place. They were almost six moons now, but had received their apprentice names eons ago. This was to be their first Gathering.
Crescentstrike had to keep herself calm and collected as she saw them amongst the masses. It felt like just yesterday they had been newborns. They were better equipped than most their age to handle the world… but she still could not but fear for them. They were the future of their clan.
~~~~~ "Sorry." Hibiscussting meowed apologetically. "I got nervous and came ahead."
Dolphinpaw however wasn't nervous about the gathering. In fact she was ecstatic for her first gathering. She stayed close to Mossystone with her eyes gleaming with excitement. Now in hindsight she should have many reasons to be nervous. For one thing it wasn't really the traditional gathering place that the cats use to go to, and was now on the Golden Grass which was right on Shark clan territory. However Dolphinpaw ever really seen what Shark clan territory looked like so once again she surprised everyone's expectations by looking around the area with large curious eyes. "Shark clan territory sure is different from Rushingclan huh?" she asked her eyes wondering from one area to the next.
" It's alright, Hibi." Mossystone mewed," Honestly, I think we all are..." He looked down at Dolphinpaw and smiled nervously." Yeah, Dolphinpaw, it sure is." Mossy mewed. --- Foamblossom found her eyes catch the pelt of Citrine, a new comer to RushingClan. She hadn't formally introduced herself yet, and decided it was time to. The white she-cat was a bit intimidated by the she-cat's stature, however and decided to slowly make her way over and sit next to her.
Seabreeze entered the gathering area with the rest of his clan mates. Everything seemed to feel a little off, Mossystone didn't have his lives, the deputy had left early, and the gathering was being held in different location. These weren't drastic changes, but they were big enough to make Seabreeze feel as if something was out of place. The older tom looked around a bit. Usually he would be chatting with Pikepool, but his young friend had seemed to grow distant from him. Seabreeze saw Dolphinpaw who was curiously looking around the new terrain. Seabreeze chuckled a bit. It was always entertaining to see the younger cats reactions to different changes and new terrain.
---------------------------
Pikepool padded into the gathering place. He took note on how once more the gathering place was close to the volcano. A shudder ran through him as he remembered a past gathering. Pikepool hunched over a bit as he made his way to a spot father away from all the commotion. He sat down relieved to no longer have to put pressure on his shoulder. It had caused him pain all the way down to the gathering place, but complaining about it wouldn't have gotten him anywhere, besides that's what he would of done when he was an apprentice but now he was a warrior.
Goldenash walked among the other cats, weaving his way in and out of them as he made his way to the main area where the leaders met- unfortunately their leader Cobaltstar, would be unable to make it to this gathering.....or any others in the future for that matter. She was dead. He looked around as he stood in the place the leaders would at the other few cats that were currently here- even if few cats came, it would surely be an interesting gathering.
Burrpaw fell in the back of the line of ScorchClan's party as they walked to the sorta new gathering place. The apprentice watched his mentor leave the clan's group and head to where the leaders were meeting. He decided it would be best to go and wait for the gathering to start while everyone else got acquainted with each other. He sat off to the side but close to the leaders so he would be able to listen. Burrpaw's tail tip moved up and down, getting covered in a bit of earth with each landing, as his eyes scanned across the clans. He wondered if the other clans were having as such a hard time as his beloved clan was.
Hibiscussting noticed that Scorchclan had come, but a sinking feeling came across her as she noticed that Cobaltstar was not with them... The deputy was left to assume that the leader must be dead. What other possible thing could it be after all the hardship the clans had faced recently? Her gaze settled upon Crescentstrike, noticing how she didn't have a leader mark either. Could this really be? "Where's Cobaltstar and Swampstar?" The she-cat asked, stepping forward. "What happened to them?"
~~~~ Crescentstrike turned her back to Hibiscussting as the question was asked, hiding her expression from those in the Gathering site. She couldn't... She couldn't say it. Just like she couldn't tell Cobaltstar how she felt. And now there would never be the chance. She felt so hollow.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Leopardpaw stared out into the Gathering, eyes empty and unresponsive. Any who knew him from Scorchclan would be familiar with this gaze. Any who saw him otherwise might be concerned. A normal apprentice's eyes would be alight with curiosity at their first Gathering. But his were truly hollow as comparison to his mothers. If eyes were the windows to the soul one might question if he even had one.
Goldenash looked over at Hibiscussting where she was addressing Crescentstrike, and quickly ended up deciding it was best for him to answer this question- not only was he leader now, or at least standing as leader until he could receive his markings and lives, but the look on Crescentstrike's face and the turning away told him that she probably wasn't up to the task of answering that question right now.
He stepped over towards Hibiscussting and dipped his head, his orange gaze resting down on her. "I'm afraid Cobaltstar is no longer with us." He said in a semi-emotionless tone, and his gaze boring through her for a few moments before going to sit by Crescentstrike for the time being.
"I'll admit, I'm just a tad curious as to who all survived in the other clans. I wouldn't be surprised if half of the population is decimated." He muttered, the tip of his tail twitching almost in annoyance just at the thought in general of everything they had suffered- especially his clan. Perhaps it was a sick thought, but part of him wouldn't mind if the other clans had been brought down a cat or two- Scorchclan had it's share of deaths and destruction already. Surely they weren't the only ones that deserved it.
After taking a long look around and soon even Dolphinpaw noticed that the leaders of the other clans. She once again looked around hoping to find any sign of the missing leaders "Swampstar" and "Cobaltstar." Then she noticed Goldendash and couldn't help overhear about the death of Cobaltstar, and instantly, with this revelation, felt bad for the clan. Without really thinking it through she padded next to Hibiscussting and looked at Goldenash, her eyes brimming with wide eyed innocence. "I'm sorry that you lost your leader," she said sincerely kindness was oozing in her voice. "We also lost our leader," she didn't want to press it further though. It was now all in the past and right now they should be looking forward to the future.
Mossystone too was shaken by the news. He however, couldn't find any words to say. This was a pretty shocking thing. All three of the clans had lost their leaders. This made Mossystone feel worse about the situation. This was going to be an...interesting gathering to say the least. Mossytone just looked down at his paws and muttered a small "sorry to hear that". ---
Foamblossom shot a side-glance at the pretty she-cat she decided to talk to. Her kit was locked in her icey-blue gaze and Foamblossom immediately felt embarrassed to talk to her. She was busy taking care of her child! She hadn't thought about that before padding over, like a stupid mouse. Foamblossom just sat there quietly and decided not to talk to Citrine.
"More like he ran away like a coward." Hibiscussting muttered to herself, highly embittered by this fact. Of all things she thought Nightstar to be- coward had never been one of them. Perhaps as a deputy she ought not say such things out loud. But she really wasn't worried about it.
~~~~~ If only the population of the other clans were decimated like their own... that'd make them easier to attack. Crescentstrike thought to herself. She wasn't sure how much longer Scorchclan could survive like this.

She looked at Hibiscussting with large eyes and her one of her eyebrows raised at the deputy's response. Dolphinpaw was honestly taken back by the intensity in Hibiscussting's words but Dolphinpaw decided not to press it further. Then she noticed tabby she cat turning her back away from Hibiscussting and Dolphinpaw decided to greet her as well. "Hello!" Dolphinpaw greeted her eyes shinning brightly. The brown tabby she cat smelt like Scorch clan, but despite this little discovery the young she cat was still interested in this new cat. "My name is Dolphinpaw and I am from Rushing clan!" she meowed a bright and proud smile still evident in her face. "What's your name?"
(OOC: oh Dolphinpaw you're so adorable! XD)
